Executive Director, CEO, Licensed Psychologist
Phillip Collier, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist who began working at Link Care Center in 1990 as a full-time staff member. In 1993, he accepted a full-time faculty position at Fresno Pacific University and continued to work at Link Care Center. Over the years, Dr. Collier has been an active Link Care staff member. He has worked extensively with the missionary and community clients in individual and couple therapy. He was a primary presenter in the L2L2 pre-field training program conducted for missionaries and has significant experience working with children and adolescents, many of whom were cross-cultural youth. His clinical expertise is in the area of affective disorders, personality disorders and anxiety disorders with adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Collier also conducts candidate and furlough assessments for a wide range of mission organizations.
Over the course of his eleven years with Fresno Pacific University, Dr Collier taught a rotation of 10 different psychology courses. His primary assignment was teaching clinically oriented courses such as counseling, psychological assessment and abnormal psychology. During his time as Psychology Department Chair, Dr. Collier initiated an undergraduate research practicum, a teaching assistantship program, as well as being an active participant in university governance. He worked as a member of the chapel program and was responsible for the oversight and selection of the university worship team.
Dr. Collier has been involved in church related ministry since his late teens. He has served on church staff as youth director, been active in music ministry, written and directed dramas, taught Sunday school, preached regularly and served as worship leader. Dr. Collier has a heart and passion for ministry both inside and outside of the church.
