Gene Beck grew up in the Chico area of northern California. He came to know Christ in his senior year of High School and sensed God’s call to full time Christian ministry. Gene is a graduate of Western Baptist College (Currently Corban College) in Salem, Oregon, with a B.S. Degree in Bible and Pastoral Theology. He continued his ministry preparation at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clark Summit, Pennsylvania, and graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree in Theology. Gene has been in pastoral ministry for the past 36 years and has been the senior pastor of three churches located in the states of Pennsylvania, Montana and Idaho. Gene has been married to his wife Lynette for 39 years and they have two daughters and four grandchildren.
Currently, Gene is an associate pastor at Campus Bible Church in Fresno, where he has served in the area of pastoral care and counseling for the past fifteen years. Gene is also the executive director of JARON (Jesus’ Ambassadors Reaching Out to Nations) Ministries International where the focus of his ministry is church leadership training in the Philippines, Mexico and Cuba. He just returned from a week of ministry in the city of Tehuacan, in the state of Puebla, Mexico where he taught 115 church leaders a course on pastoral counseling.
During the past few years, God has continued to impress on Gene’s heart the desire to be involved more deeply in counseling. He sees the privilege of working together with the Link Counseling Staff as a great opportunity to be used of the Lord to minister to church leaders serving around the world.
