COUNSELING CENTER

As a Christian Counseling Center, Link Care serves both Christians and non-Christians in its mission to provide excellent, professional counseling. We are privileged to extend our services to everyone who lives in the Central Valley area and through tele-health our clinical team is available to those within California.

Do I have to be in ministry to get clinical care from Link Care?

No. We exist to extend our services to anyone, whether they are in ministry or not. We just also happen to offer care specific to those in ministry, which sets us apart from other counseling centers.

Are the therapists for individual, couple, family, and children different? If each of the counselors are different, we wonder how trust would be built?

Trust is built with each person/couple/family unit and their therapist. In fact, with having separate therapists for each person and couple/family unit, trust is built easier. For example, if one of the child's therapist is also the family therapist, the members of the family who are not that child may feel at some point that the therapist is favoring their client (even if the therapist is not doing so - it could feel that way) and impede full trust in the therapist's ability to remain impartial. The same goes for each member having their own therapist - it helps clients feel that there is not crossover and thus more secure privacy for the information they share with their therapist.

Counseling for Pastors

Link Care is fortunate to have a team of highly qualified pastoral counselors dedicated to serving missionaries, pastors, and laypeople. We recognize that pastors and church leaders often struggle with how to best care for their congregations. To support them, our counselors offer supplemental counseling to existing pastoral staff teams, conduct training and mentoring sessions, and organize conferences and seminars throughout the year.

Link Care provides 5 free sessions to a licensed or credentialed full-time pastor in the Central Valley. To schedule those appointments, call the Counseling Office at (559) 439-5920, ext 145 and tell the New Client Coordinator of your needs.

Can I bring my pet?

Outside of service animals, Link Care does not allow pets.

Reduced Fee Services

Link Care provides a limited number of reduced-fee services to people in the Central Valley with financial need. If you do not have insurance and are unable to cover the cost of counseling call (559) 439-5920, ask for the New Client Coordinator, and notify him/her that you are interested in reduced fee services. If we are unable to provided reduced fee counseling, we will provide a referral to other agencies that can provide low fee services.

Can I use my health insurance?

Yes. However, it is important to note that most of our therapists are out of network providers. We are not able to provide in-network therapists for individuals in the Restoration and Personal Growth program.  Also, it is important to understand that your insurance only covers clinical sessions and in some cases testing. Most of our services and fees are not covered under your health plan.

Does Link Care avoid mission/country of service crossover?

We work to make sure missionaries/global workers from the same agency/country are not at Link Care at the same time.
