RESTORATION & PERSONAL GROWTH PROGRAM

The Restoration & Personal Growth Program at Link Care extends our mission of serving God by helping people grow in emotional health, personal integrity, and spiritual wholeness. The RPG Program specifically ministers to pastors and missionaries who have encountered difficulties while in ministry. It is centered on helping our clients find renewed perspective on life and ministry, addressing issues related to stress and burnout, working through marital distress, cross cultural adjustments, career evaluations, morality issues, adjustment for children and teens, grief and loss, and concerns related to transitions among many other things.

During the application process, our director of Mission and Member Care will help assess each applicant’s specific needs and challenges to create a unique treatment program.  Participants engage in approximately 10 clinical sessions and 2 pastoral session per week. The pastoral care component of the RPG program provides guidance for a healthy spiritual life, boundaries, spiritual warfare, and interpersonal relationships.

The RPG Program at Link Care includes

  • Comprehensive psychological assessment

  • Pastoral counseling

  • Marital counseling

  • Individual counseling

  • Family counseling (as needed)

  • Men’s process group and Women’s process group

  • Community group

  • Weekly kids’ process group for ages 3-12

  • Supportive fellowship of other missionaries and pastors on campus

All program participants stay on our campus for a minimum of four weeks in their own fully furnished and equipped apartment. Our campus also has a basketball court, playground, pool, and library. While in our program, participants are encouraged to use their free time to engage in their hobbies, explore the beautiful local parks and nearby National Parks, and to supplement their counseling with recommended books, videos, and other resources.

Our team has witnessed over 70% of those in the RPG program return to ministry. Over the years this has amounted to over 6,000 pastors, missionaries, and their families.

If you or someone you know is interested in the RPG program, please contact Lisa Basile, ext 145. We've done our best to answer some of the most commonly asked questions in our FAQ below or download our informational pdf.

FAQ

Please reach out with any further questions you may have.

  • Yes. However, it is important to note that most of our therapists are out of network providers. We are not able to provide in-network therapists for individuals in the Restoration and Personal Growth program.  Also, it is important to understand that your insurance only covers clinical sessions and in some cases testing. Most of our services and fees are not covered under your health plan.

    • For a couple, the first month's estimated costs would be close to $12,500.

    • For a family, the first month's costs would increase beyond the couple's cost to the extent that the children are receiving counseling.

    • For a single woman, the first month's estimated costs would be close to $10,000 ($9,600 for a single man, since fewer group sessions).

    • Added to this would be the cost of groceries; subtracted from this would be any reimbursement you have from insurance.

    • For months 2 and following, the cost would be significantly less as some of the up-front costs are one-time fees and not repeated.  Prior to your coming we will send a specific breakdown of costs, so that you would know the detailed amount.

  • No. We do not provide on-site childcare. If you are in need of childcare during your time at Link Care, we discuss how to meet this need during the application process.

  • There really isn’t a typical day in the program, since there is not a set format that include seminars. We seek to schedule your sessions with various counselors throughout the week, but you may find that you have 2-3 sessions in one day and none on another day. You are given your first week’s schedule upon arrival.

  • No. Link Care does not allow pets.

  • Trust is built with each person/couple/family unit and their therapist. In fact, with having separate therapists for each person and couple/family unit, trust is built easier. For example, if one of the child's therapist is also the family therapist, the members of the family who are not that child may feel at some point that the therapist is favoring their client (even if the therapist is not doing so - it could feel that way) and impede full trust in the therapist's ability to remain impartial. The same goes for each member having their own therapist - it helps clients feel that there is not crossover and thus more secure privacy for the information they share with their therapist.

  • We work to make sure missionaries/global workers from the same agency/country are not at Link Care at the same time.

Sr. Pastor, Northpark Community Church

"Those of us in ministry, and our families, deal with unique situations, pressures and even temptations. It is a great comfort and benefit knowing that Link Care is there for us. They are committed to helping The Church, by helping pastors. Many ministers, their families and churches have been enriched through Link Care. It is a joy to partner with them in prayer, partnership and financially."
